I am interested to hear from very good players who have tried this (or the previous aim mod) out for a reasonable time. I mostly hope it's stamped out because I don't think it's healthy for the game if most bad-to-average players feel like they need it to be competitive, and any belief of widespread cheating is bad for the growth of a game like this. I think the idea of acceptance is absurd because it removes most of the point of playing the game, but that's somewhat beside the point. There aren't hundreds of different armor schemes and tank layouts to learn, which was the argument for the dubious hit-skin mods in WoT. Being able to land your shots on a target 12 seconds away is probably 70% of the game, with situational awareness, dodging torps, and not running into islands probably being the rest. There's really not much depth to this game as it is, but I enjoy what little exists. Cast a cloud of suspicion over any good players that manage to be non-retarded at this incredibly simple game.Even if it won't affect me directly, I don't want three bad pubbies on my team to get owned by one bad pubby on the other team that's using an aim mod. A lot of people do sail in straight lines. Raise the floor of bad players that use the mod against other bad players.Make the right target-selection choices for the player.Since rudder shift takes awhile even on the most agile ships, this is actually a useful skill to pick up. I think a decent chunk of my damage comes from predicting target movement and hitting them either mid-turn or coming out of a turn into a broadside. Make bad players better against good players that aren't predictable in movements.Still not sure wherever I should be laughing or feeling sad that this will bring in a new level of hax accusations and silliness, also people removing an actual skill and fun that makes WoWs so enjoyable and different from WoT's point and click. So it shouldn't be that big of a problem for me! Afaik it's only effective against people going in straight lines. That lead indicator doesn't teach you how to angle nor map awareness nor how to shoot someone that's turning around.
